The word "stan" originated from titular Eminem's song where it has a story of an obsessive fantard killed himself over him, only because Em didn't respond any lulz for at least 100 years ago. Now you don't have to stop why are they fucking annoying and being obsessed over a celebrity as it's being described as a portmanteau of "stalker" and "fan". The word was then added to Oxford, supposedly because of its overuse. You can use the word as a noun or a verb.
Twitter stans go on Twatter and never stop talking about celebrities for a thousand years, until they die alone. Twitter stans don't give a shit, other than something they've stopped praising. When you say something like "(any particular celebrity)" is "shit", "bad" or even "ok", they will doxx the shit out of you for "good reason" to "educate yourself". In fact, why do they call themselves "educated" and "cultured" when they can't fucking make a point for it, and being among the annoying mentally-retarded fantards on Twitter is what they do for a living. Stans are also noted for self-harming themselves over them. Unfortunately, untalented celebrities can't control their fantards to not self-harm because they're too dumb pussies to stop them. Of course, the world has been going downhill, and these drama-whores started spreading cancer flame wars, doxxing and ruining everyone across the internet for no reason.
They are also the people who created "Neopronouns" because they decided that being called "they/them" was not enough for them to be special. They started out by bastardizing the fuck out of the English language, thinking it contributed to anything. Boohoo, just because someone misgendered your pronouns doesn't mean you should go completely ballistic.
